This standardized extract from the Chinese club moss has potent beneficial effects on the metabolism of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter well known for its importance to memory, cognition and attention, with additional implications for brain aging and longevity. In fact, Huperzine A powerfully modulates the activity of acetylcholinesterase, the enzyme that destroys acetylcholine. Huperzine A can cross the blood-brain barrier, indicating its excellent oral bioavailability, and it has a long duration of bioactivity. This makes Huperzine A both powerful and promising as a neuroprotectant.
Huperzine A has been shown in multiple clinical trials to promote cognitive and memory function, in both the elderly and younger individuals.

Dosage and Use
Take one (1) capsule one to four times daily, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
Caution
If you suffer from abnormal or irregular heart rhythm (e.g. atrial fibrillation) and congestive heart failure, avoid Huperzine A. Consult your healthcare provider before taking this product if you are being prescribed an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Huperzine A can cause gastrointestinal discomfort for some individuals.
